What I seek is not what to do, but rather how to do things.
In life (relationships, socialization, dating, whatever) as well in martial arts (techniques, etc.), people always tell you how to do things: Do it this way; no do it this way! No do it my way! No this is the correct way to do it, etc.
But people never tell you how they do it. People never tell you how things happen the way they do. People never tell you what the process is, how it unfolds , how it grows and shines and BLOWS UP and becomes something new.
People never tell you how things are done, they just tell you what to do – and leave it at that. Because advice is a dime a dozen nowadays; anybody can tell you what to do in x, y, z.
What I seek is not what to do, but rather how to do things.
The study of Daoism is the study of how things in nature unfolds.
